Update is nice sure, the issue with this mod is that most places if not all don't have any custom scenes. So besieging castles is just vanilla, I attacked many castles like Dragonstone, Kingsland and Casterly Rock only for the castles to be vanilla. I wished they had more map makers working on the mod.

"Hype" is not what gets people to use your mod, word-of-mouth is. Unless it has an English option, it'll get exactly ZERO traction amongst non-Chinese speaking players. It could be the best mod ever, and it would still flop in the West. Sad, really. Looks cool, but won't ever play it if not in a language I can understand.

It’s unfortunate westerners are not interested in Chinese military history with some of the most unique variety of units such as early gunpowder firelances, grenades, rockets, hand cannons, repeating crossbows etc. Meanwhile Japanese military history they are obsessed with. I understand 3k is designed for the domestic Chinese market but I’d love a 11th century Chinese bannerlord

With AI tools it shouldn't be hard for someone to translate and release a patch pretty quick if they don't. There may be a couple mistakes here and there but it would be readable and then easier for an actual translator to fix in the long run. Looks good though.

ive always struggled with the fact that most games and mods that try to capture the Three Kingdoms period just never feel quite right. Most other games and conversions at base struggle to balance all of the following: 1. The character centrism of the setting. Most games and mods end up with the characters of the period being too disposable. 2. The time scale. It needs a lot slower time scale than games like CK or TW really provide for. It needs the slower time so that it doesnt blow way past the lives of the major characters. 3. Existence of "heroes" among soldiers in combat. 4. Betrayal and intrigue 5. Slow push and pull between factions growth and decline. Most every other game or conversion aside from the actual ROTK or Dynasty Warriors games struggles to capture all of these facets. A few months ago I found this mod when I realized that Bannerlord is probably the closest thing to the base functionality that ive wanted from a game/mod set in the 3K period for years. Bannerlord fits a gameplay style that falls pretty well between the ROTK and DW games, and I'm really excited for when this mod finally comes out. And I say that as a westerner.

That card game reminds me of triple triad in one of the final fantasy games, where you capture cards with high number values.

The card you mentioned is in fact a in-game card game like gwent in witcher, they probably use that to replace the vanilla board game mini game.

Yea this game has me weirdly addicted, too. One thing though, theres 5 dlc factions. Abyssal and the beastmen are also among those. So 5 Starter factions, 5 DLC factions. Doesn´t really matter, but might be relevant for people discovering the game here.

We're at a point now where modders give more potential to this game than the actual devs of it

love how simple but impactful the battles are. very realistic and the fact that you were punished for bad maneuvering is awesome.

Do you think the developer is going to add models for the smaller units as well, like they already have for the larger single units? Might be a small difference but would increase immersion for me in my opinion. Love the game and would love to see more content on it!
